On the eve of the 75th Indian Independence, launching Ceremony of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav & A new beginning to create a tobacco-free Karur was organized. Anti Tobacco Day-Drug Free Karur For Peace And Happy Living-Mini Marathon 2022 was organized on the occasion. 2 women police got prize among the top 13 winners & 4 senior citizens completed the marathon on par with the youths.
