The festival of Makar sankranti- New year of the solar system is celebrated in Maharashatra by Women mainly through Haldi Kunku program. It is related by Sun"s movement from Dakshinayan to Uttarayan.<br/>on this occasion, Brahma Kumaris, Umashankar society center Conducted Makar Sankranti Haldi Kunku Service between 5.00 PM to 7.00 PM at Little flower school Hall, Mahesh Society Chowk, Pune.<br/>BK Sunita Didi, Teacher Incharge gave Baba’s Parichay and a lecture on the importance of Makar Sankranti celebration and its spiritual significance. The chief guest of the function, Dr. Mayura Tekade, renowned General Physician, Bibwewadi, spoke about how to take care of general health and precautionary measures by females. Mrs. Vijaya Arole and Dr. Aishwarya Lohokare were present as guests of Honor. The Laughing Club organizer Mrs. Vijaya Arole , spoke about the importance of laughing in our daily life and how it heals our body and Dr. Aishwarya Lohokare, Dentist, guided about dental health care and proper healthy diet. Godly gifts were distributed to all the guests and participants. Nearly 150 female members took benefit of program.<br/>
