Brief Report on signing of MoU for NMBA with Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt of India_4th March, 2023<br/><br/>In order to contain the menace of alcohol and drugs addiction in India, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) was signed between the Medical Wing of Brahmakumaris and the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment (MSJE), Govt of India at Dr Ambedkar International Centre (DAIC), Janpath, New Delhi on the 4th of March, 2023. The programme was attended by Shri Virendra Kumar, Hon`ble Cabinet Minister of SJ&E, Shri Ramdas Athawale, Hon`ble Minister of State for SJ&E, Mr Surendra Kumar (Addl. Secretary) Ms Radhika Chakravarthy (Joint Secretary), Shri Rajesh Kumar Makkar (Deputy Secretary), and all other ministerial staff. From Brahmakumaris, the MoU for NMBA signing ceremony was attended by BK Asha didi (ORC), BK Dr Banarsilal Sah (Secretary, Medical Wing), BK Dr Pratap Midha (GHRC, Mt Abu), BK Sachin Parab (Jt.Secretary, Medical Wing), BK Prof Dr Gaurav Aggarwal, BK Prof Dr Mohit Gupta, BK Prof Dr Reena Tomar, BK Laxmi (Lawrence Road), BK Kamla (Bhopal), and many other BK sisters and brothers.<br/><br/> <br/><br/>The programme was organised by the Ministry of SJ&E. It was a proud privilege that Brahmakumaris organisation and specially the Medical Wing of BKs were chosen for the humongous task of spreading awareness and counselling the people suffering from the ill-effects of drug abuse and to ensure the smooth delivery of the NMBA in the country. The MoU was signed between the Ministry of SJ&E and the Medical Wing of Brahmakumaris for a period of 3 years. During the programme, BK Asha didi shared that we at Brahmakumariz use a two-pronged strategy to address the menace of drug addiction- firstly, by spiritual counselling and empowering the individual and secondly, by raising the self-esteem of the individual. Both strategies work together and help in creating a fulfilment of `inner needs` of the individual so that one does not need to consume drugs of addiction. The HMSJE Shri Virendra Kumar expressed the need of taking the spiritual solution of tackling the drug menace to every village, school, college and university to attain the goal of addiction free India through the NMBA. He informed that the GOI had covered 272 districts in 32 States for awareness about de-addiction earlier but later increased it to 372 districts. The HSMSJE Shri Ramdas Athawale expressed full faith and confidence in the services and country-wide network of Brahmakumaris and said that he is happy to involve BKs in this noble service of de-addicitng the drug abusers. Dr Sachin Parab raised the issue of administering pledge to de-addict by 10 crore people across the country on the 26th of June (The International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking), a pilot project of BKs, to which the MSJE affirmed the support of Govt of India. The entire programme was coordinated by Ms Radhika Chakravarthy, Joint Secretary, MSJE. The programme ended with offering of Godly gifts by BK Asha didi to the Hon`ble Ministers and the entire staff of the Ministry of SJ&E, and a vote of thanks by the Under Secretary, MSJ&E. After the MoU signing ceremony, as a good will gesture, the MSJE invited all the dignitaries for a group photograph in front of the 100-foot tall bronze statue of Bharat Ratna Shri B.R. Ambedkar, situated in the ground floor foyer of the DAIC. The ministry also organised a trip to the Dr B.R. Ambedkar National Museum situated at Alipur Road, Civil Lines in New Delhi. All the BK family members enjoyed the guided tour and were fascinated to witness the state-of-the-art installations at the Museum and to learn about the life of Dr B.R. Ambedkar, the founding father of the Constitution of India. <br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/>सामाजिक न्याय और अधिकारिता मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार के साथ नशा मुक्त भारत अभियान(NMBA) के लिए समझौता ज्ञापन (MoU) पर हस्ताक्षर करने के संदर्भ में |<br/><br/>भारत में तंबाकू की लत के खतरे को रोकने के लिए, ब्रह्माकुमारीज़ के मेडिकल विंग और सामाजिक न्याय और अधिकारिता मंत्रालय (MSJE), भारत सरकार के बीच नशा मुक्त भारत अभियान (NMBA) के लिए एक समझौता ज्ञापन (MoU) पर हस्ताक्षर किए गए। 4 मार्च, 2023 को डॉ अम्बेडकर इंटरनेशनल सेंटर (DAIC), जनपथ, नई दिल्ली में एक भव्य कार्यक्रम में इसे संपन्न किया गया l इस कार्यक्रम में श्री वीरेंद्र कुमार(सामाजिक न्याय एवं अधिकारिता के माननीय कैबिनेट मंत्री), श्री रामदास अठावले(माननीय सामाजिक न्याय एवं अधिकारिता राज्य मंत्री) ने भाग लिया। श्री सुरेंद्र कुमार (अतिरिक्त सचिव) सुश्री राधिका चक्रवर्ती (संयुक्त सचिव), श्री राजेश कुमार मक्कड़ (उप सचिव), और अन्य सभी मंत्रालयिक कर्मचारी वहां उपस्थित थे l ब्रह्माकुमारीज़ से, (NMBA) समझौता ज्ञापन पर बीके आशा दीदी (ओआरसी) ने हस्ताक्षर किये | उनके साथ बीके डॉ. बनारसीलाल साह (सचिव, चिकित्सा विंग), बीके डॉ. प्रताप मिधा (जीएचआरसी, माउंट आबू), बीके सचिन परब (संयुक्त सचिव, चिकित्सा), बीके प्रोफेसर डॉ गौरव अग्रवाल, बीके प्रोफेसर डॉ मोहित गुप्ता, बीके प्रोफेसर डॉ रीना तोमर, बीके लक्ष्मी (लॉरेंस रोड), बीके कमला (द्वारिका दिल्ली), और कई अन्य बीके बहनें और भाई वहां मौजूद थे l<br/><br/>कार्यक्रम का आयोजन सामाजिक न्याय और अधिकारिता मंत्रालय द्वारा किया गया था। यह एक गर्व की बात थी कि ब्रह्माकुमारीज संगठन और विशेष रूप से बीके के मेडिकल विंग को नशीली दवाओं के दुरुपयोग के दुष्प्रभावों से पीड़ित लोगों को जागरूक करने और परामर्श देने और देश में नशा मुक्त भारत अभियान को सुचारू रूप से चलाने के विशाल कार्य के लिए चुना गया था। कार्यक्रम के दौरान, बीके आशा दीदी ने बताया कि ब्रह्माकुमारीज में हम मादक पदार्थों की लत के खतरे को दूर करने के लिए दो तरफा रणनीति का उपयोग करते हैं- पहला, व्यक्ति की आध्यात्मिक परामर्श द्वारा और दूसरा, व्यक्ति को सशक्त बनाकर। दोनों रणनीतियाँ एक साथ काम करती हैं और व्यक्ति की `आंतरिक ज़रूरतों` को पूरा करने में मदद करती हैं, ताकि किसी को व्यसन की दवाओं का सेवन करने की आवश्यकता न पड़े । माननीय मंत्री श्री वीरेंद्र कुमार जी ने नशा मुक्त भारत अभियान के माध्यम से व्यसन मुक्त भारत के लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करने के लिए हर गांव, स्कूल, कॉलेज और विश्वविद्यालय में नशीली दवाओं के खतरे से निपटने के आध्यात्मिक समाधान की आवश्यकता व्यक्त की। उन्होंने बताया कि भारत सरकार ने पहले नशामुक्ति के बारे में जागरूकता के लिए 32 राज्यों के 272 जिलों को चिन्हित किया था, लेकिन बाद में इसे बढ़ाकर 372 जिले कर दिया गया। राज्यमंत्री श्री रामदास अठावले ने ब्रह्माकुमारियों की सेवाओं और देशव्यापी नेटवर्क में पूर्ण विश्वास व्यक्त किया और कहा कि वह नशे की लत छुड़ाने की इस नेक सेवा में बीके को शामिल करके खुश हैं। डॉ सचिन परब ने 26 जून (विश्व ड्रग डे या नशीली दवाओं के दुरुपयोग और अवैध तस्करी के खिलाफ अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दिवस) पर देश भर में 10 करोड़ लोगों द्वारा नशामुक्ति का संकल्प लेने का मुद्दा उठाया, जो कि बीके की एक पायलट परियोजना है, जिसके लिए MSJE ने भारत सरकार के समर्थन की पुष्टि की। पूरे कार्यक्रम का संचालन MSJE की संयुक्त सचिव सुश्री राधिका चक्रवर्ती ने किया। कार्यक्रम का समापन बीके आशा दीदी द्वारा माननीय मंत्रियों और MSJE मंत्रालय के सभी कर्मचारियों को ईश्वरीय उपहारों और MSJE उप सचिव श्री राजेश कुमार मक्कड़ द्वारा धन्यवाद प्रस्ताव के साथ हुआ। समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर समारोह के बाद, सद्भावना के रूप में, MSJE ने सभी गणमान्य व्यक्तियों को भारत रत्न श्री बी.आर. अम्बेडकर की प्रतिमा के पास संयुक्त फोटो लिया। मंत्रालय ने नई दिल्ली में अलीपुर रोड, सिविल लाइंस स्थित डॉ. बी.आर. अम्बेडकर राष्ट्रीय संग्रहालय की यात्रा का भी आयोजन किया।
