Program Brief
Five days Summer camp for children in the age group 10-15 years was organized by the Brahma Kumaris, Borivali East Center, Mumbai. Parallel sessions on different subjects for parents were also conducted during the camp.<br/>Around 125 students & 40 parents attended the camp.<br/>Highlights of the Children Camp:<br/>Sessions for Children were conducted on following topics-<br/> -Helping Hands by Sister BK Parul<br/> -Happy and Healthy Mind by Sister BK Tamanna<br/> -Unity & Letter to God by Sister BK Jigna<br/> -Care and Share by Sister BK Hetal<br/>-Each session was much interactive and by including various activities. it was a learning with fun.<br/> -Yoga was conducted by Sister BK Shilpa<br/> -Daily Zumba exercise was conducted by Sister BK Varsha<br/><br/> Parallel sessions of Parents were also conducted on the following topics-<br/> -Harmony in Relationships by Sister BK Hetal<br/> -Power of Mind by Sister BK Parul<br/> -Benefits of Meditation by Sister BK Kiran<br/> -Digital Detox by Sister BK Kavita<br/> On the last day i.e, on 23rd April , Kids Carnival for Road Safety Awareness was organized at Veer Savarkar Udyan, Borivali West. <br/> - Along with children, their parents and others around 200 people attended the event. <br/> - Brother Gopal Shetty ji (Member of Parliament) was invited as the chief guest. He shared his own interesting childhood stories and experiences with the children.<br/> - Sister BK Divyaprabha Behn (Subzone Incharge, Borivali) shared here words of wisdom which were quite encouraging for the children.<br/> - Sister BK Sangeeta shared the objective of summer camp <br/> - Road Safety Tips were shared with children by Brother BK Suvas<br/> - Yoga by Sister BK Shilpa<br/> - Zumba by Sister BK Varsha<br/> - Event was well coordinated by Sister BK Hetal.<br/> - Children participating in Carnival were wearing caps of Road Safety messenger. Few dressed up as Traffic police, one girl dressed up as Bharat Mata holding the flag of India & one brother dressed up as Yamraj. After the National Anthem, Carnival was given the flag off and it travelled across the complete garden. Children performed dances and shouted road safety slogans in between. Carnival grabbed the attention of people in the garden, creating a curiosity to know the purpose of the carnival and few of them joined also. News Media reporters took note of this event and interviewed children & organizing sisters of Brahma Kumaris.<br/>- Towards the end of the event, prize distribution to the winners of the elocution competition. The best two students during the camp were awarded with the prince & princess of the camp. Medals and gifts were given to each participant (including parents) of the summer camp.
